HOW SOUND IS OUR BELIEF???

How sound is our Belief?

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Islam:

Assalmoalaykum wa Rahamtullah:

We are told by our sluf to preach Islam by luring and giving the glad tidings to the audience and to avoid

Warnings and (admonitions) to the best of ability. I fully agree with them, that is the right way:

However if we go through the Noble Qur'an, we will see more verses apportioned to Warnings (and

Admonitions) then Glad Tidings and lures, that is because of addressing Non-Muslims as well as Muslims.

But when addressing to Muslims by Muslim Preachers the Sulf are right as said above, however, only giving good tidings, over the centuries have made the Muslim Ummah to think that by reciting Shadah, the Paradise is booked for them – this behavior needs to be corrected.

Everybody knows : the first step is (receipt of) Information. If information is interesting then the interested person will (try to) acquire knowledge.

Now, knowledge is different from faith and faith is one degree below of (true and candid) Belief.

The Qur'an, is a guidance particularly for Muttaqoon but generally for man kind and in that context for Muslims particularly: some of the verses of Qur'an speak:

002/002

2. This is the Book (the Qur'ân), whereof there is no doubt, a guidance to those who are Al-Muttaqûn [the pious and righteous persons who fear Allâh much (abstain from all kinds of sins and evil deeds which He has forbidden) and love Allâh much (perform all kinds of good deeds which He has ordained)].

Oo2/137

(7) So if they believe in the like of that which you believe, then they are rightly guided; but if they turn away, then they are only in opposition. So Allah will suffice you against them. And He is the All-Hearer, the All-Knower.
( سورة البقرة , Al-Baqara, Chapter #2, Verse #137)

10/57 & 58:

57. O mankind! There has come to you a good advice from your Lord (i.e. the Qur'an, ordering all that is good and forbidding all that is evil), and a healing for that (disease of ignorance, doubt, hypocrisy and differences, etc.) in your breasts, - a guidance and a mercy (explaining lawful and unlawful things, etc.) for the believers.

58. Say: "In the Bounty of Allâh, and in His Mercy (i.e. Islâm and the Qur'ân); -therein let them rejoice." That is better than what (the wealth) they amass.

9. Verily, this Qur'ân guides to that which is most just and right and gives glad tidings to the believers (in the Oneness of Allâh and His Messenger, Muhammad , etc.). who work deeds of righteousness, that they shall have a great reward (Paradise).

At present, there are, around one point six (1.60) billion Muslims in the world. I wonder how many know how to recite Shahdah in correct way and what do they understand by it or what does it mean. Then how many know, how to offer as-salat in ordinarily correct way? Then how many Muslims can read The Noble Qur'an and again how many can simply understand? Then how many understand what is commanded and what is forbidden by Allah s.w.t. and what is Shareah. & what is Sunnah?

As a matter of Fact, as I understand, Majority of Muslim Ummah has belief only up to tongue in the mouth, and that is because they are informed so. The information and/or knowledge will carry a man to nowhere. It will not help to face the questions those are in store for The Day of Judgment. We need to believe what is informed and taught and the knowledge we aquire. However the point of view of Ummah is generally "What will happen to our other contemporaries will happen to us & we have called Sha hadah so we are not going to Hell!". Actually, the present Ummah is interested in Cash they are not interested in promises! The reason is again obvious "because in worldly trade in these days the observation is that promises never fulfilled. So nobody cares for tomorrow (Day of Judgment.)

The other reason is that people who deceive in any or all ways and emblaze whatever they are entrusted with are more successful and those who strive for Honesty, truthfulness, fulfillment of promises, fair dealings etc. according to the commands of Shareah and Sunnah, They are getting themselves into more and more trouble. A boss likes an honest servant, who deals with honesty with the boss but who is smart enough to deceive the customers.

Now again let us see the Noble Qur'an what Allah s.w.t says:

96/6 to 8.

6. Nay! Verily, man does transgress all bounds (in disbelief and evil deed, etc.).

7. Because he considers himself self-sufficient.

8. Surely! Unto your Lord is the return.

75/20 & 21

20. Not [as you think, that you (mankind) will not be resurrected and recompensed for your deeds], but (you men) love the present life of this world,

21. And leave (neglect) the Hereafter

The people of today generally say that they believe in the resurrection but they wonder how is it possible? Their weakness of belief is due to not reading Qur'an with understanding.:

002/72 & 73

72. And (remember) when you killed a man and fell into dispute among yourselves as to the crime. But Allâh brought forth that which you were hiding.

73. So We said: "Strike him (the dead man) with a piece of it (the cow)." Thus Allâh brings the dead to life and shows you His Ayât (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) so that you may understand.

9. Do you think that the people of the Cave and the Inscription (the news or the names of the people of the Cave) were a wonder among Our Signs?

25. And they stayed in their Cave three hundred (solar) years, and add nine (for lunar years).

75/36 to 40:

36. Does man think that he will be left Suda [neglected without being punished or rewarded for the obligatory duties enjoined by his Lord (Allâh) on him]?

37. Was he not a Nutfah (mixed male and female discharge of semen) poured forth?

38. Then he became an 'Alaqa (a clot); then (Allâh) shaped and fashioned (him) in due proportion.

39. And made him in two sexes, male and female.

40. Is not He (Allâh Who does that), Able to give life to the dead? (Yes! He is Able to do all things).

There are still many proofs in the Holy Qur'an which emphasise on the candidness of resurrection.

Qur'an washes away the rust of (mind) heart as water washes away the dirt on surfaces like pot, clothes, floors etc.

May be Inshallah I will continue to remind my brothers, sisters (& myself) in Islam to come to the straight path which pleases the Lord of Heavens & Earth & pray to Almighty Lord to give guidance to all who read it and grant me and Muslim Ummah Pardon for
